One of my favorite outfit formulas for cool spring day outfits is the combination of a dress or long skirt with a sweater and boots. There are a lot of floral print dresses and skirts available that give off a spring aesthetic.
I like this floral dress in particular, because it works well in fall as well as in spring. There are many ways you could wear it, but by wearing a sweater and boots with it you are able to add warmth to it when you need a cold spring day outfit.
Cool Spring Outfits with Neutral Cable Knit Sweaters

One formula that I have been loving for cold weather spring outfits is the combination of a good pair of denim jeans with a turtleneck, a basic pair of sneakers, topped off with your favorite sweater. I personally love this affordable sweater from Amazon for the springtime. The peach color is bright and cheerful, but it will definitely keep you warm on cold spring days. I did size up to a large because I was looking for a roomy fit and I am super happy with how it fits.
Another great option for the transitional weather in the spring time is a cardigan. You can layer it over another sweater for the cooler spring days, then, when the weather warms up, you can switch out the sweater underneath for a tea or a tank. Cardigans are especially useful in the springtime because they are so quick and easy to take on and off as the temperatures fluctuate throughout the day.
I found this vibrant and colorful cardigan on Amazon, and I could not pass it up. It brightens up an outfit, but still keeps you nice and warm when the temps are still cold in the spring.

When I wore this outfit, I decided to pair it with some ankle boots, because there was still snow on the ground. Though of course the boots could be switched out for a pair of pumps or flats on days that the ground is dry!
